Medieval Blowing Horn BL20-001
This beautiful signal horn is in a high Medieval style, inspired by manuscript decoration. The body of the horn is hand carved featuring interlacing leaf and vine forms with many frolicking creatures. The brass bands are etched leaf and vine forms including 8mm sapphires and 6mm garnets. The mouthpiece is cast bronze and when blown properly it makes a beautiful clear sound. It is 27 inches along the outer curve. The display stand is included. This horn would be used for announcements, to call the hunt, or warfare. It is a horn truly fit for a king!
